かんがえちがい【考え違い】

〔思い違い〕 (a) misunderstanding; a mistake; a false [wrong] impression; 〔心得違い〕 a mistaken [an erroneous] idea.

●私の考え違いでなければ 〔記憶が〕 if I remember rightly; if my memory is correct [isn't playing tricks on me]; if my memory serves me correctly [right, well]; 〔考え方が〕 if I am not mistaken; unless I am mistaken.

●考え違いをする misunderstand; misinterpret; make a mistake; 《口》 bark up the wrong tree

・考え違いをしている be mistaken [wrong]; be in error; be (laboring) under a false [wrong] impression; be misled 《about a matter》

・あなたの真意についてどうやら私は考え違いをしていたようです. It seems I misunderstood [misinterpreted, was mistaken about] your real intentions.
